About Us
We are passionate about Southwold and look forward to sharing our love of the Suffolk coast with you. As a child Sue visited Southwold every year. Her parents retired to Southwold - we were married in Southwold. Having moved around the country over the years we have always had the aim of living in our favourite place.................Southwold!
Family holidays for us have usually involved staying in B&Bs, here and abroad. We know what we like; we know what we expect from a B&B. Now that we have started our own B&B business in Southwold we hope that you will come and enjoy what we have to offer. We are handily placed to be able to walk to Southwold in 10 minutes, but far enough away to be able to park! We have ample off-road parking.
Our garden is an on-going project - Roger's passion. We now have a residents' area in the garden where guests can enjoy breakfast or enjoy relaxing after a busy day on the beach or out walking.
Sorry, but we cannot accommodate pets as we have a cat of our own. Be assured he is not allowed in guest areas of the house.
We can accept children and babysitting may be possible by arrangement.
We have a range of maps and books that you are welcome to borrow. We can give advice on local walks, cycle rides (bikes available to borrow), good pubs and tearooms. If you would like a guided walk or cycle ride this could be arranged.
If you are golfers Roger can talk you through 'one of the best 9-hole golf courses in East Anglia' - Southwold Golf Club, and other golfing opportunities in the area. There is a good tennis club and also public courts on the Common with tea rooms.
Roger is a Level 1 tennis coach (soon to be Level 2) and would be delighted to introduce this great game to your children (subject to court availability). We have windbreaks, buckets, spades and crab nets (we know the best crabbing places!) for you to borrow.
If your stay relates to a special occasion, birthday or anniversary, do let us know as we love to celebrate. As well as a Visitors' Book we are keeping a diary of 'Interesting and Unusual Events and Memorable Moments'. We hope that guests will contribute.
